Description

If Panarin was traded to either one of these two teams, his life would probably be in grave danger.

Out of the NHL teams not named the New York Rangers, these two teams would have Panarin "looking over his shoulder" the most.

I measured the level of danger against Panarin if he went to another team based on # of Russians on the team + proximity to a Russian embassy or consulate.

Avs trade Saad, Francouz, and a fifth for Panarin lol.

That being said, I wonder how many Russian NHL players actually support Putin and aren't just voicing their support for Putin's regime due to fears of retribution. It is brave of Panarin to speak up against the Putin regime, but I wouldn't say that other NHL players would do anything to him because of it.
