Lmao it's hilarious watching all these leafs fans overvalue their players. With Forsberg in the lineup, that 1st round pick is essentially being valued as a 2nd because of where this team should finish in the playoffs. So as an unbias person seeing this trade, its basically a 24th-31st overall pick, Kerfoot (an average 3rd line LW/C), Hallander who is a middle 6 forward at best in a few seasons, Anderson (may not even play multiple full seasons in the NHL), and a 4th round pick.
This for Forsberg who is 8-7-15 in 17gp on a terrible Nashville Predators team. Some scraps for a top 20 LW with 2.5mill retained (4.5Mill AAV) for this season and next. The salary retention has more value then I think you've considered. Sure Nashville adds a 6th round pick.
As an unbias hockey fan, I see this trade being at minimum 2021 1st round pick, Kerfoot, Robertson or Sandin, a mid-tier prospect, and a conditional 3rd in 2022 that becomes a 2nd round pick if the Leafs make the ECF this year or next. Maybe another condition where the Preds receive a 2023 pick if he resigns
