You killed the team for the next 7 years.... Crosby is good, no doubt, but not worth selling the whole franchise for a 35 year old.

thats what I was going to say lol you don't trade our best non NHL D prospects, our best Winger prospect, our currently 2nd best C, our leader and a 1st for 1 player no matter how good.

That's why I say content now. We can chose to keep our prospects but there is no garanty they'll become elite players in the next few years. Weber might be our leader, but he isn't able to follow anymore, Crosby would remplace his leadership plus he'll make a bigger difference on the ice. And our best non NHL D prospect is Norlinder.

I know it's a huge overpay for Crosby, but I don't think pens would accept for a lower offer. The team is build to win now and they currently struggle in a poor division, I guess an electroshock is required

I have to disagree. Crosby is not worth all these asset... and MTL is not a contender EVEN with Crosby. So we might make the playoff.... then lose, then keep losing for the next 7 years.

Even if we keep our prospects, we will keep losing for the next 6 years with aging Price and aging Weber with biiig contracts.

That's not how that works man... you are trading Mcdonagh for Gomez again.

Primeau will replace him, Guhle, Norlinder, Romanov, Petry, Harris, will step up.

Man, we were saying same thing few years ago with Scherbak, Tinordi, McCarron, Beaulieu, Juulsen, Galchenyuk

Simply Ridiculous!... 4 years of first for an aging player is simply irrational. Hockey isn’t a player sports it’s a team sport. Your Probably trading Weber on the account that he’s getting old , but trading him and 4 first for a player 2years younger than him!
