The flames one, giving up futures (1st and a 2nd in this case) for someone they don't want to move but will be a difference maker for the leafs

Nick Robertson + 2021 1st would be similar to Coleman deal

I think the 1st and a 2nd is good enough to pry him out

yeah i dont think the values super far off (maybe im wrong im not a flames fan) but the flames would probably rather a good prospect instead of the second

Flames will build around Mangiapane as part of the core. Coleman was older and approaching UFA. Not the case with Mangiapane

Vesey was an "A level" prospect at one time, kinda like Bennet

Wouldn't count on it, Flames have been jerking Mangiapane around for a couple seasons now

And how have they done that exactly? Maybe you're thinking of Bennett...

They've played him with Backlund for the last year+, playing against other teams top lines. Seems like proper utilization to me....

28 years on a two-year deal...don’t think age is much of a factor. Pickles was better. And more complete player.... any situation, any line, any position. Don’t think Mangiapane gets the same return, but could be wrong.

Here that would be Nick Robertson + 2021 1st. Would be something if leafs bite.

He's played 20+ mins in 3 of the last 5.

Flames love him and intend on keeping him. He's their version of Zach Hyman

Why would they trade a young player who’s been one of the best play drivers in the league this season. It’s not like he’s a 1 year away from UFA, he’s 24 YO and an RFA when his contract is up.

I wouldn’t bet on that. Robertson is going to very good, but this good? Probably not.
