We don't need Montour with Roy, Walker, Spence and Strand (not to mention Durzi himself) behind Drew Doughty, plus Helge Grans and Brock Faber in the pipeline.

Move into rebuild mode? Rebuilding is all they have been trying to do for the last decade. I don’t disagree that they will sell any expiring contract that might get them something at the deadline though.

Geekie got sent down to Chicago, blew the doors off everything, and got brought back because he's an NHL player. He's younger, cost-controlled in a flat cap world, and he's a right-shot forward, which Carolina has a lack of.

Don't see Carolina taking that. I am a HUGE Eric Staal fan but no reason to trade for him and especially not for Geekie.
