Well there are two firsts also. This is more a situation of Vancouver has no interest than a question of value. It just doesn't make sense for Vancouver.

Simply put: Vancouver has no interest.

They're trying to win around Horvat, Quinn, Pettersson, and Boeser. They aren't trading one of their best forwards who is prime aged with still 3 years of term for futures. Forget value they just aren't doing it. It doesn't make sense

yes it does because they aren't done their rebuild yet. Funny how you mentioned that they are trying to win around those 4 players (which they are) but you didn't mention JT Miller. Why would they keep him when they would only really get the last year of his contract during the years they try to go on a run in they playoffs and become a playoff team.

I didn't mention him because he's the guy in question. They are trying to win for the next three years. It just doesn't make sense bud

Those are the 2 players I would love to get from Vancouver as well. The only way the Leafs could do it is with Vancouver retaining BUT they are in a terrible place with their Cap so they couldn't retain even if we overpaid.
