He’s a rental what does the expansion draft have to do with anything? He’s got baggage because he’s a recovering alcoholic? The guy has been a great leader from all reports this year. Your speculation doesn’t debunk prior trades for comps and the reports that GMs are calling for him.

The expansion draft has a lot to do with it. Teams are holding onto picks. They are capital to keep guys of other players. Teams are much more willing to give a 2nd than say a 1st.
His baggage is more than just alcoholic. There were practice issues, management issues, etc.., It's just a dishonest thing to say it was just alcoholic whatever. There were issues around this guy. On multiple teams.

Yes those issues could be caused by it...but you know what...they could also not be. There are plenty of guys who have issues with things and they don't have those concerns.

Protect JMo, Pionk and Demelo on D. Beaulieu meets the expansion requirements. Adding a D that would need protection makes no sense for us unless it is a rental.

You also seem to have a hard time understanding that there are things other than addiction that cause people to have problems on teams. Period. It's really easy to just blame it on one thing, but I hate to break it to you, it rarely is. And while people are polite and say the nice thing.
