I wonder how he’ll use mete and Byron due to the way he’s coached before (especially world juniors) mete was on that team and ducharme loved speed and good forechecking. Will be interesting

I feel like there's no way point in using Mete without actually making him the power play's QB. He's not built for 3rd pairing 5v5 minutes. As for Byron, I guess he'll alternate with Lehkonen.

Forward coach from what I've seen. It's surprising, considering he's only got two years of experience.

I agree with pretty much all of that, except I’d have Byron alternate with Tatar, not Lehkonen.

I can see Tatar flourishing under Ducharme. He didn't have any room under Julien.

Tatar and Danault, for me, were arguably the two biggest winners under Julien. Prime minutes with Gallagher, one of the best 5 on 5 scorers in the NHL for multiple years straight now (despite Gallagher playing with less than elite lines mates).

If we gave Lehkonen that same opportunity, I imagine he’d pile up the points also. I like Tatar, but the reality of the situation re: cap, we probably won’t be able to keep him. I imagine he’ll be easier to move than Byron. I don’t see us keeping both at the deadline (barring injuries to others) when that cap space could otherwise be used to improve our depth at D or at center.
