Certainly would not do this from a Buffalo perspective. Goalies drop off way faster than skaters. Skinner is still a good player, feel free to look at his advanced stats like high danger scoring chances and you will see that his season has been hampered by poor coaching decisions, low ice time, and plain bad luck. Bob is a meh goalie getting paid 10 mil. Skinner is a good forward getting paid 9 mil. I know who I choose 10/10 times. Plus we all know if Skinner gets dealt to any other team and gets the ice time and linemates he deserves, he's gonna start scoring again. A top 10 player in 5v5 goals for the past 10 years is someone I'd be willing to hold on to over a goalie who struggles to have a .900 save percentage

As much skinner bashing as I do...Jeffery has a higher % to bounce back than Bob does in my opinion.

Buffalonians might think they are desperate for goaltending, but this ain’t it. You’d be better off signing whatever UFA goalies are left over in the off-season to min contracts and seeing what shakes out.
