Is Faulk a good TWD now lol

Description
I'm not a Blues fan so I don't watch him much. He looked solid against the Kings Monday we'll see again tonight.

He leads the league in +/-, is this just a fluke or is he a legit good TWD now?

He never was a defensive liability. I do admit this looks like a breakout season for him, weird considering he's in his late 20s

He looked good in the Sharks series’ too.
Definitely a great start to the year for him. Filling in for AP has gone well for him but we’ll need to see it continue obvi. For now tho the Blues definitely are relying on him.

@any other blues fans tho, how’s Krug been overall?

That stache alone is enough to keep him on the top pair.

#BringBackThe70sStaches

Lose the sissy Matthews staches that I could grow when I was 13.

yeah hes been great on both ends of the ice, picking his spots well on offense and executing, playing well on defense too. Gets a bit of a bump imo playing with an already strong D-core but hes been their best d-man imo

Faulk has been carrying the defense - truly a crazy turn of events lol.

Krug has been good, not great. I haven't been worried about his play but I've only been impressed in a couple of games. His vision and his sense to keep plays alive is fantastic but he's slower on his feet than I thought he was and that keeps him from making some defensive plays / winning battles. I have a feeling he'll hit another level in the near future when he gets a little more comfortable, and if the PP starts clicking that should give him a big boost of confidence.

At the end of the season, he'll be on fire. Trust me. When you guys are healthy and have Tarasenko back that powerplay will be unreal.

Faulk has always been up and down, both offensively and defensively. He had some really poor seasons with the Canes, but also some really good ones too...all the way back to his rookie season.

His last year with the Canes, you could make the case he was their best defensive player...he happened to be playing with Pesce that season too.

For me - he is 100% dependent upon who he’s paired with to allow him to play his game.

He was the right handed version of Skjei in Carolina. Not a liability but some serious 'What are you doing' moments.

I don't know why but there's this crazy notion that defensemen are supposed to be at their best in their early to mid 20s. Defensemen historically hit their prime in their 28-32 years, not early to mid 20s. Look at Pietrangelo, arguably has played his best hockey over the last 2 seasons and he just turned 30. Lidstrom didn't win his first Norris until 31. MacInnis, while a hell of a defenseman in his early 20s, reached his apex at 27/28.
