The only one I’d be interested in is Ekholm. Who would likely cost a 1st + a B prospect + another prospect/pick.

Butcher for Caufield please.

Jk I've seen Butcher for Chariot and a third so that would be fair

Butcher would probably cost a pretty good prospect and pick. But no reason for Devils to move him really. Their other LHDs are UFAs.

Lindholm will be the most expensive, that said I’m not aware what it may take, probably a first and a good prospect to start

Dunn's not going anywhere, especially while we're swimming in injuries.

Alec Martinez got two low 2nd round picks. That's the same value as Ekholm.

Ekholm is better than Martinez. Your probably looking at the jake muzzin price.

Ekholm costs you 1st in 2021 or 2022, They'd try for Poehling and maybe a 5th.

There is a very significant difference between Alec Martinez and Mattias Ekholm.

They're a lot more similar than you think. And Ekholm's .6 PS is worse than Martinez's 1.4 at the time of the trade, even though Martinez started most of his shifts in the defensive zone. Ekholm has also had the benefit of a 54% ozS, -.6 Cf rel.
For their careers, pretty similar. Total points goes to Ekholm but not by much (.36 PPG versus .33) .
Point shares at the time of Martinez trade was very similar with Martinez having slight advantage (41.8 versus 41.1). Blocks goes to Martinez, though Ekholm averaged more ice time. Ekholm is better at protecting the puck, but not significantly more.

So yeah, they're both pretty similar players. It's also worth noting Ekholm has been on the more consistent team in the last 5 years. Not saying Ekholm is bad and Martinez is good, they're both quality defenseman. But no significant difference in overall game.

Personally I would prefer Ekholm over Martinez because I think Ekhlom is tougher than Martinez. But yeah, not significantly different at all.
