i still do not understand why the blues moved Allen. I understand they wanted Hoffman but Husso had 0 NHL experience and so far has been ass for this team. Kind of knew that was gonna potentially happen.

In general the blues did fine when Tarasenko was injured last time so adding Hoffman was kind of pointless. Allen has been amazing for the Habs and I suspect if blues kept him their record would be much better.

Hoffman really only became a thing after Steen LTIRetired. The Blues had to move Allen to free up the cap for Dunn and to keep the Petro door open. 4.35 was too much for the backup. Sucks losing Jake but I thought the move made sense. Husso has started like 2 games and aside from some jitters has been decent. If he isn’t the answer maybe they’ll find a veteran G at the deadline but they had to see what they have in Husso.

His stats certainly don't reflect his overall game. He could be better, but outside of that one spanking he's just been fine.

Entirely too rich for a 32 year old backup both in cost and trade value. Why would the blues entertain this when they got a 2nd for Allen who was arguably top 5 in a lot of goalie stats and yet give up a 3rd and 4th for someone like bernier who has a 1 year contract at 3 mil. This only helps detroit
