Okay, just to let you know whenever anyone takes the time to type something out like that, it screams to everyone else, “I want to say something clever here, but I can’t think of anything clever, and I don’t really have anything to support what I’m saying.” You can be better.
Now, just so you know, NHL coaches look at everything. They don’t just say, “oh, he has one point, he’s bad, cut the minutes.” Guys go through streaks of low statistical production all the time, but they keep playing because they aren’t bad. Not here. Skinner started getting 14-16 minutes. Then they went down, down, down, because he’s horrible. And yes, it matters that a 9 million dollar player only has one point. That is an issue.
His poor play isn’t a result of his minutes, his minutes is a result of his poor play. He’s the worst contract in the NHL. I know it, you know it, just admit it to yourself.
