Would gladly take a 3rd for Blackwell. Believe they signed him and Rooney to two year deals to meet expansion draft requirements

This is the most reasonable trade deadline Leafs ACGM I have seen in weeks.

Like the Blackwell addition. Low cost in assets, and I can see a tougher 4th line next year around him and Boyd (I live how he has looked in the lineup).

Namestnikov is a gamble, but he has out up decent number in the past, and for one year, why not? Moving Engvall has pros and cons, but he would certainly have a bottom 6 role in Detroit. Abramov maybe a bit of overkill imo, but that is pretty subjective.

Overall, it makes sense.

Thank you!

Except for the fact that the red wings pass. We aren't trading nam and if we were, we we would get better then this and we wouldn't be retaining

We aren't trading him and we aren't taking back 2 guys who are not even going to be in the nhl and a 4th and retaining. This is a 0% chance of happening. We signed him for 2 years to keep him, we might trade him next year tdl, bit this year and retention is really off

signed in detroit to build up his value for his next contract. Detroit would want to maximize on that trade potential.

it been 19 games. Zadina also isnt lighting it up, guess he's worthless. might as well trade for him too right? This team wasnt build to be a contender. This team was built to satisfy expansion draft concerns and rebuild. I actually struggled picking their 7-3-1 expansion protect list. abramov, a late 4th and engvall isnt exactly value add to a rebuilding team.

He signed in Detroit partly bc he is from Detroit, grew up there, and already lives in Detroit during the offseason, it’s home. Already trains in offseason with both Wings players and other NHLers from the area in past years. Wanted to play for Wings and help bring success, so chose them over other options. Vladdy is Slava Kozlov’s nephew, is how he ended up there at young age. He’s been very average so far this year. Playing a lot better of late.
