I personally wouldn't give up two 2nds for Bishop, too much injury risk

You'd have to pay for more than you'd like.

Many many leafs fans: Liljegren is a future top 4 defensemen.

Same leafs fans: resigns bogosian and won't put Liljegren in the lineup in his draft plus 5 year.

There lies the problem. Since hes playing well, good lukc to any team trying to pry him away from his current team.

Playing well the last 2 years not just a small sample size you can't say it's a streak he's on

Toronto would be a scary team in playoffs if they have a healthy Bishop real scary.

In reality, it wouldn't cost that much. The market isn't gonna be high for a 35 year old goaltending that while has good numbers, ha splayed on an extremely well coached defensive system team for 3 years in Dallas and before that was nothing more than an average backup. Throw in that Dallas is likely gonna have to expose him to Seattle or lose him for nothing (or make a side deal that they still have to give up a valuable asset for), and numbers aside, his trade value isn't going to be that high.

I'd be shocked to see either one of them moved for more than a 2nd and a low B prospect. Dallas doesn't have much leverage at all in trade talks.

It's not the value at all the problem, Dallas's goal is to contend not rebuild, a 2nd and a low level prospect won't help us in the playoffs. I would like to keep Dobby or Bishop and try to win it all and lose one of them for free than trade one of them and do nothing, and knowing Nill that 2nd and prospect won't do nothing with this system so essentially we lose him for nothing either way.

It’s still better to get something rather than nothing, let Seattle take some scrub either way you’re only going to have one of them next season
