I don't see NSH being interested in that deal

Why would Nashville ever do that. If you honestly think Nashville would do that, the deal implies Nylander is better than Forsberg, which, if you believe that (I don't) then why would you trade Nylander for him?

But either way that trade is a huge win for the Leafs, no chance.

neither would toronto, the leafs are looking to add a top 6 winger to help with the playoff push for now and later, not play musical chairs with them

Nah, Vesey could be a pretty good AHLer. Watson wouldnt make the marlies 4th line

Vesey 21 games 2g 2a (played with JT, Willy, Matthews, Marner)
Watson 21 games 3g 4a (played with nobody’s)

Watson would be an upgrade over Jimmy

Well, we're all entitled to our opinions.

NSH and OTT both decline.

good for them, the Leafs would be the ones declining because there's no way they're the ones offering theses deals

I think the Leafs look at it as a way to add a #1LW, and the Preds are looking to get younger and rebuild, so adding a prospect and a pick helps them. I'm totally confused as to why they'd throw in Tolvanen, though. That definitely sinks it.

This trade makes no sense for Nashville its a total Loss. the Leafs get a better player and a prospect plus the Preds retain? Like what?

Your bottom 6 lacks grit. Watson could be a fit, but this offer doesn't do it.
Watson has 7 points in 21 games while playing 4th line on the worst team in the league. So he's contributing more offence than Mikheyev, Vesey, and Engvall. Watson also has 57 hits and 22 blocked shots. Mikheyev, Vesey, and Engvall have COMBINED for 46 hits 23 blocked shots.
Ottawa declines.

Agreed. But take out Tolvanen, and suddenly it makes sense for Nashville. They get a guy who's almost as good, two years younger, with two more years of term on his contract, plus a 2nd and another guy who maybe could play for them now. They still probably keep Forsberg, because he's been one of their best forwards for a while, now, and their fans like him, but if they wanted to shake things up, Nylander and a 2nd isn't a bad starting point.

As a Leafs fan, please look at Watson has done comparded to some of the lefas players.
He would not be a bad option, and would agian add osme grit and toughness, as Lefas do play better when that is in the lineup.

i know exactly what he's done.
Jack all. He's awful. he cant score, he cant defend and his "grit and toughness" is utterly useless because he's clowned up and down the ice. No one plays better when he;s on the ice other than the other team because he stinks and is really easy to play against. He is an utter anchor for any line he is on.

Yet he has more points (and p/gp) than Mikheyev, Vesey, Petan and Engvall. Why is he putting up more points than FOUR of your bottom SIX??
Watson also has 58 hits. That's 21 MORE than Hymen, who leads your team. And 2 more than Mikheyev, Vesey, Petan and Engvall COMBINED.
That's the kind of "useless" that helps get teams to the second round. Been a long time since the Leafs did that...

Wow, he has more points than some guys who have played 10 or more less games than him, amazing.
Lol hits. That just means he never has the puck.
