Lets say in this hypothetical, he doesnt want to be a 3rd pairing guy, behind Fox and Lundkvist.

That being said I doubt he would waive it, this is more for some fun speculation

How in the world did he get 8 mil and a nmc when everyone knew the only team he wanted to play for was the rangers?

I think it'd cost more than just a 1st for Seattle to take him since it's looking like a lot of good defensemen are gonna be available for Seattle.

You're right...SEA is gonna have their pick of dmen and most of them wont be making 8 AAV.
I remember when the jets made this deal and fans were outraged...now look at it. Pionk has 60 points in 89 games and llooks like the complete package and Heinola is the jets top prospect. Meanwhile, Trouba is talked about as an albatross

Trouba looks pretty good this year bud...

Doubt you're going to have to pay anything, but also doubts he goes to Seattle. More likely to Florida/Tampa/Columbus/Detroit.

I might be the only one that thinks this but compared to last season Trouba is playing way better.

He's not waiving he ain't going anywhere. Would you want to explain to your wife she has to give up her life long dream of being a Dr. in NY?

What this guy said, Trouba isn't going anywhere. Trouba is going to play loads of minutes on a team that has a young defensive corp that will get even younger on average next year with Smith & Johnson off the books. Trouba will be the "grey beard" at 27.
