The Blues opting to move back for Eller with Couture on the board is one of those huge 'what ifs' that would change so much around the league. Worked out very well for the Sharks in hindsight. Same with the 2006 draft the year before; if the Blues would've opted for Toews or Backstrom over EJ... things would've been built a lot differently with a 1-2 punch of Toews-Couture... but that's how she goes.

(It's worth mentioning that Couture moved up and down in the draft rankings due to some missed time and Eller was the safer play. Same thing with EJ, he had #1D written all over him before a golf cart accident ruined him.)
