Interesting deal. A stay at home dman like McNabb would be great for MTL. Main issue is MTL now has a whole at 3C. Also, I feel like they will make playoffs/make a push for playoffs, so I am sure that they would rather keep Danault as their own rental.

Vegas can get other centers that may not be AS GOOD as Danault, but close enough and much lower cap hit and much lower trade value.

I believe McNabb is out long term and the Knights center depth doesn't appear to be an issue right now. Stephenson is doing great right now. So is Glass.

We aren’t trading Danault. We have so few centres that someone who’s 36% on faceoffs in his career is playing C tonight, and we don’t even have any injuries. Plus there’s the fact that the habs are trying to win, and won’t trade any roster player for futures.

I’m just not a huge fan of the difference to what Danult brings this team. He’s a fine player but I just don’t think he’s what Vegas needs
