Why would we trade our best skater? Yes he is inconsistent and sucks in playoffs but he hasn't had much experience in them. Didn't make them until 2015 and lost in 2nd round then they haven't past the 1st round since.

I really dont get these midseason trading half our team away posts. Malkin is not going anywhere.. IF ever we move him/he wants out, it is this summer. Jarry has been much better, no need for Fleury. Glendening isnt worth a 3rd. Gaudreau isnt coming here, although he would be great and Nashville could get a better return elsewhere.

CGY and NSH say no.
DET and BUF say yes.
VGK would probably love to say yes but money might be tight.

Please don’t say this, the last thing I need is to have to convince Calgary fans that Gaudreau is fine in the playoffs as well lol, I get it when people who don’t watch Calgary say that but anyone watching the games knows he was making things happen every game, and it was his finishers that disappeared, which is death for a playmaker’s production. His personal goal production rate stayed the same, the reason for the overall dip in points is pretty clear. I just want us to get an elite finisher to play with him, if he had a guy like Laine on his wing he’d be smashing 100 points every year, he’s so good at opening lanes.

Why would we love to say yes? Fleury has looked like the vezina and Stephenson is doing just fine in the lead dog role at center.

Just guessing, but it's because he's from Philadelphia. smile

Because Fleury stats are probably going to plummet and Lehner is better. Plus Stephenson is a good middle 6 center playing with great players, Malkin is an elite center.
