HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

With the negative values of Okposo and Skinner, Panarin alone is likely worth more than that entire package

It leaves NYR with Kreider, Shesterkin, Kaako, Lafreniere, Eichel, Fox, Trouba, and junk. And another top 3 overall pick, upcoming. I'd argue that's an improvement over where they are right now.

panarin alone is not 15 million in dead cap for 2 years worse than eichel let alone 9 millions for 7 years

I believe Eichel would fetch an incredible haul, but this is ridiculous. Panarin is a top 10 player in the league. While Eichel is certainly more valuable given his age and position, I don't think there is a massive gap in value.

Take that into account, you're left with the single worst contract in the league and a top 5 worst contract in return for a 1C. Like that isn't even close.
Oh just realized you also added a top 6 winger and a middle 6 centre coming from NYR too. This got progressively worse as I read on.

Adding on an Okposo and Skinner would cripple your team for the next half decade. Kind of defeats the purpose of trading for an Eichel in the first place.

A deal of Eichel to NYR would probably go Lafrenierre, Zibanejad, + some smaller pieces and prospects.

Zibanejad has two more even strength points than Skinner, this year. Either could bounce back, but right now, they're almost a wash.

Eichel is a 24 year old superstar US born center who leads his team in points. Very marketable. Nice guy.

Panarin is a 29 year old on a leave of absence from professional sports, at almost the same cap hit. Panarin alone is currently 9 million in dead cap space. For how long? I don't know.

Okposo has more negative value than Deangelo, but Eichel has positive value. How much of that does Buchnevich and Georgiev really account for? My first draft had Shesterkin and a 1st, but I thought about it, and this seemed like enough for Buffalo. smile

I posted that one two weeks ago, and outside observers agreed it was fair. Neither side was interested. NYR fans said it was an overpay, but Buffalo, funny thing, preferred just having a good #1C to having a pretty good prospect and a slumping former #1C. Plus if NYR is going to rebuild, they're going to want to keep hoping Lafreniere pans out. Buffalo wants to make the playoffs now. They're bored of rebuilding. So Lafreniere is valued differently by each side, and isn't the right piece to make this work. I know, it surprised me, too.

I can't tell if this year's Rangers are a joke or not, but at least I'm suggesting a solution, not just attacking someone who's trying to help. Go hi five Deangelo, if you are not Deangelo.

Lol did I hurt your feelings!!!😂😂😂

okposo skinner both negative value Hutton and eakin both worth nothing

Zibby panarin strome buch all useful players with more values than anyone except Eichel. Ada cheap buyout in the offseason so no reason to pay someone to take him.

This is literally the worst thing I’ve seen on this site

Meaningless clichees. You should be embarrassed.

Yep. Agreed. A lot of junk moving back and forth to balance salary here. Because there's a cap. Did you not know that?

As discussed, Zibanejad has three even strength points this season. Huge disappointment.

Panarin is on leave of absence after shocking allegations and has many years remaining at a very high cap hit. Negative PR value, but still very good at ice hockey (edit: for now.
Long term trade value is less than half an Eichel, because similar offense now, but future of his contract could look really bad. Can you imagine paying him all that money when he's bad at hockey and abusive?).

Strome and Buchnevich are two thirds of an average team's second line, at average prices. Either of their contracts might get you Eichel's rookie card.

The point of this post is that NYR fans keep saying they want Eichel but don't want to give up any picks or prospects they can think of. This is the alternative. If you want to make an offer on Eichel using current Rangers and not picks and prospects, be the hockey world's guest. Here's my attempt, as a neutral party.

Zibby highest goals per game last year in the league it’s been 17 games calm down

Panarin ALLEGATIONS are that. former players from his team have come out and said these are true. The Latvian government was asked if a police report was ever filled and wow it wasn’t. It’s all a political stunt. Also panarin is better than Eichel.

Also buch is doing great this season so yeah and he’s a rfa. Strome also rfa

Anything more than
Lundkvist kravtsov strome and 2 firsts is a no go

Depending where you see the Rags' window to actually compete, I think my offer was lower than yours, but you do you brah. smile

No it’s not and I wouldn’t trade gauthier alone for that package because all those cap dumps make Eichel have zero value

And if you really think zibby buch panarin and strome have low value you’re off your rocker

If the Rangers are building to win two years out, those guys I'm giving away are each still very valuable except Deangelo (character), Panarin (politics), Zibanejad (anemic start), and Georgiev (valuable for a backup goalie, but that's not on par with a 1C). And the Sabres' guys are still expensive.

If you're building for the Rangers to win the Cup from four to seven years out, when Lafreniere, Shesterkin, and this year's upcoming draft picks are hitting their prime, then Okposo is gone, Hutton is gone, and Skinner is a cheaper buyout than Panarin (if politics spirals into depression and shows up on the ice). Eichel is 24 years old with two 70 point seasons. Gauthier is 23 years old with five career points.

So obviously if you think the Rangers can win right away, this trade is unhelpful, but in that case, just join the chorus of Rangers fans crying that they want a perennial all-star and franchise center, but only want to give up two late 1sts and a bust or two. Good luck with it. I think I solved the puzzle in a way that lets Manhattan win the Cup in about five years, but lets Buffalo make the playoffs this year, convince Hall to stick around, and let their management team keep their jobs. Does that make sense?
