Buf is better off trading Eichel at which point Skinner wouldn’t matter

Dunno if it's worth it for Sabres to move a top tier prospect and another first to erase one mistake, and just replace it by bringing another one.

That team is fundamentally such a mess that Couture would just become another bad contract there. Instead of having one terrible contract, they get one slightly less bad contract, and they lose potentially two top prospects in the process.

Couture is a good player no doubt, but that contract will eventually become bad.

Not necessarily but Buffalo would need to retain salary to dump him. If the Sabres retained and sent a team a 6–7 million Jeff Skinner with a first, it’s more than doable for a rebuilding team and Skinner could easily revive his career. He’s been buried in Buffalo

Buf is 100% better trading Eichel, getting a haul, then trading Cozens and this years first. Without question. They shouldn’t trade Eichel, but I was saying I would do that before the proposed here
