I like Getzlaf’s fit with this Avs group. His combination of skill and toughness is exactly what their bottom six needs, and he can help the power play. There would probably have to be some salary retained by Anaheim, even with some of the cap gymnastics Colorado has pulled off to create space.
Frank Seravalli reported that the Ducks would not entertain trading Getzlaf unless he specifically asked to be moved. He also has a full NMC, so he would have control over the destination. If that is something he wanted, Colorado would be an attractive option.

Probably fair value, but Avs need retention to make it work cap wise.
