Bruins accept imo. I’d just hope that we can resign Hertl long term to be our 2C and drop Krejci after this year

Ug, I disagree. He has one season over 50pts. One.

He has one season with more than 22 goals. I would rather keep assets and sign krejci to one more year go after someone else in FA's.

    He is fun to watch.

Hertl isn’t that kind of player.

I know. I’d drop Krejci anyways and let Coyle/Studnicka figure it out, but Hertl is one of my faves. The first will be late in a weak class, Bjork isn’t anything special, and I’m not worried about losing a third. All those pieces are expendable, except for Vaak which would hurt but Lauzon, Grizz, and Zboril have been great when healthy. I think Hertl would be worth it.

They can't trade Vaakanainen without getting a D back IMO, unless they really think he can't hang, or they really like Lohrei, Achan or FA. They will more than likely lose One of Zboril, Gryzelcyk or Lauzon to Seattle. I guess Kase, Bjork and Frederic are on the table too, but I'd take one of the D unless Kase comes back flying, in which case the Bruins would protect him over Bjork or Frederic.

I also don't like the idea of bailing on Bjork now. He is noticeable. Pretty much every night. That can not be said for anyone else except the 1st line.

He feels like Blake Wheeler 2.0. He is so close...

Fair point. However, I do feel as if Lohrei and Ahcan have shown enough promise this year, especially Lohrei, that they can eventually fill the same spot that Vaak is slated to fill. There is also the draft, but without the first from this trade, it'd be tough to acquire one of the top dmen this year. I wouldn't compare Bjork to Wheeler, as I don't think Bjork has even half of the upside that Wheeler did. Sure, Bjork is a great depth winger for an energy line that Cassidy always loves to throw out there, but I don't see Bjork becoming much more than he already is.

Exactly what I’m thinking. Between Jack and him they can cover krejci leaving and Bergeron aging
