Wings easily decline. We take on Johnson and a prospect that is not even in the top ten per most reports and give up Stretcher and Zetterberg which cost us pennies on the dollar. This trade does nothing but give us cap, an middle of the road prospect and who had on e good year and one bad year in the WHL and we weaken our defense for next year.

It just does not make sense from a Wings perspective.

Take it as 1st + zetterberg money for stecher and prospect (2nd rounder this draft) for taking Johnson, i agree Tampa should include some other sweetener like 3-5 rounder, but honestly this trade doesnt šerm loopsided to me 🤷

Probelm is Wings not taking a 2nd to take on Johsnon's 4 years at 5 million each year. He is not a bad player but his days of a top center or top 6 winger are fading if not gone. Yzerman has taken on 1 cap dump, Staal at 4.5 million for 1 year, you sre asking him to do it for 4 years and that is not how he is operating.
