I know I have said that you need a really good goalie to win a cup, but with Hertl in, and Kadri back where he should be, that makes their offence amazing! If they has Hertl, that would be embarrassing for them if they didn’t win.

Oh man, this works. Framework looks good, there is enough quality in the quantity that it’s not just throwing it all against the wall.

1st + Compher + Timmins + Jost is what it would be if Avs don't make the SC final, which doesn't seem like enough. There's no real high end piece there either.

What you'd change?

Yesterday I suggested Hertl + Nieto for 1st + Timmins + Kaut + Jost + Compher (basically adding Kaut to your offer), and SJ fans in the thread seemed to think it was fair value. I think Wilson would insist on Newhook though, as realistically none of those pieces are top half of the lineup sort of prospects.

It's a perfect trade for Colorado imo. The lineup just fits really well, and Nieto would be enough to replace a body on the 4th line. This is the sort of quantity-for-quality trade Sakic should be looking to make to put the team over the top. Newhook should be close to untouchable, unless you're getting a high end top 6 C with some term.
