The only pieces of much value to a rebuilding team there are Kaut and the late 1st, but that's not close to getting Hertl.

It's gonna have to be Newhook + 1st.
Compher and Calvert are meaningless to SJ and Kaut has little value

Just for reference:

Calvert has little value - he's a good energy guy but he can't stay healthy and he's a UFA after this season

Compher has no value - He's overpaid at 3.5M for another two seasons after this one and he's a replacement-level player.

I've heard good things about Kaut but so far, all I see in him is a bottom-6 player.

- A very low 1st in a weak draft

- A low 3rd

Minus the first, there's just nothing here that's even close to getting Hertl.
