Hell yeah. I'd be so happy with Marleau here. He's a perfect fit and Lou loves him.

I don't really see Ottawa doing Lebanc for White, let alone adding a 2nd. White is a more versatile player.

[the sarcastic version of me said this ^]

In reality, the Meier deal asks for waaaaaaayy too much.
Two of those guys are out-producing Meier this year and the other one is solid, 22-years young, future 3C.
Maybe Sharks would get one of those guys, but that's it.

The Meier and Hertl trades suck for the sharks. Just better quality offers you’d be able to find.
Labanc trade sucks for the Sens.

Ottawa isn't trading White, especially not for Labanc. White has the same amount of points while being better defensively, younger, and signed for longer.

Probably not a bad price to pay for Donato...
How has he been this year?

Without being too negative, he's really been one of a few highlights this season.

That's not enough from Colorado for Hertl. Think something like 1st + Timmins + Kaut + Jost + Compher. And even then they'd be in their right to insist on Newhook.

That’s a lot tbh. I’d do Newhook a first maybe Jost and/or something based on negotiations (all scenarios would include 50% on Hertl for the 2 year contract if it would happen this year). I don’t love Timmins injury issues so I’d just leave him to you guys to continue to work with.

Newhook and a first seems like a fair base for Hertl and y’all wouldn’t need to add to much more as Newhook’s value is quite high I’d safely assume.

I meant that San Jose would prefer a deal around Newhook + 1st instead of Timmins + 1st + Kaut + Compher + Jost.

San Jose would insist on Newhook being in any package.

Hertl has a 3 team NTC though so if Avs are the only destination maybe a deal could work that doesn't involve Newhook if he really wants to go to Colorado.

Kind of strange given they have the three players acquired slotted in as 2C, 2LW & 3C above ... not to mention the two picks.

Yeah, right. 2C, 3C and 2LW for Timo Meier. Oompf.

And two seconds ... one of which will be a top 40 pick overall.
