Krueger is the new scapegoat now that Botterill is gone. Their always has to be one in Buffalo. Though he isnt winning favors for his treatment of Skinner, he has been a very good coach. But in Buffalo, if something is a minor inconvenience we just need to burn it to the ground. I hate his deployment of Skinner, I think its getting childish, but Skinner is also being a diva for refusing to buy in.

Krueger is responsible for Skinner.

He scored 40 goals, made the all star team (previously a 3 time 30 goal scorer) has been one of the best 5 on 5 scorers in the nhl for a decade.

krueger plays him with AHL players, with defensive zone starts and no power play. he is actively sabotaging his career for reasons unknown.

skinner has played with ahl players for 2 years. kruegers job is to put players in a position to succeed.

we have sucked forever. his style and system is bad, he favors unskilled grinders over skilled players and we are one of the worst teams in the NHL AGAIN and one of the lowest scoring teams in the league AGAIN.

also, its not just skinner. he is running the team into the ground and forcing our most talented players to play a dump and chase cookie cutter system and playing to their weaknesses over strengths.

the issue is the owners, which is why i said call me when they sell the team, more so than the coach, but they were idiots for hiring him in the first place

look at the stats buddy. from 2010-2018 he was like 5th in the league in 5 on 5 goals

he also has destroyed, or atleast stilted Dahlin and the list goes on. Im sure guys like riley sheahan love him tho, he was our 1C last night!

I've followed CAR for a very long time. His best year in Carolina was his rookie year and I've never considered him at any point in time to be a 2-way player. Even that single 40 goal season you're referencing was heavy PP fueled. He's literally averaging 18.63 even strength goals a year.

He has not preferred grinders his top 2 lines are Olofsson-Eichel-Reinhart and Hall-Staal-Cozens, unless you are talking about Rodrigues, who sucked here then sucked in Pitt till he got hurt. He just wants Skinner to be defensively responsible, Skinner needs to buy in. But if he cant use Skinner he needs to make that known to Adams and put him in a situation where they can move him. This one situation is on both of them. The Sabres defense has been fantastic under Krueger, their Goaltending has been spotty which is not Krueger's fault, and their Offense was terrible last year due to terrible personal, and bad this year mostly due to Eichel being hurt in the off season, not anything he can control either

Jeff has 159 even strength goals and 45 power play goals for his career. It is hilarious to think power play goals inflate his total. go ahead and look up who had more even strength goals from 2010-18. it wasnt many.

2010 - 2018 means you're asking me to forget his last...3 years... Come on man. You can't cherry pick specific years and it be a meaningful stat. Maybe we say he's the best 5v5 scorer in away games, at night, each February, during a leap year? He's not a bad player, but he's not elite either. He's just currently getting paid elite money. There are lots of guys (lots is a relative term I know) that average more than 18.63 EV goals per year.
