Gonna be a lot more fun to watch when half the guys aren't on the shelf. Tons of top9 options to try out. I kinda like the look of

Schwartz-ROR-Perron
Schenn-Thomas-Tarasenko
Hoffman-Bozak-Kyrou
Sanford/DLR/Cliff-Sunny-Blais

best part of getting healthy is we might actually see the end of the Zach Sanford top6 experiment.

I honestly have always liked him, but he’s just been brutal. I wonder if Kostin will get a run considering he’s been in rockstar mode lately. Maybe a Kostin-Sundqvist-Blais line that will average 10 pims a night

I'd love to see it but my guess is they continue to slow-play Kostin. He'll come over after the KHL season (maybe Omsk will win the cup?) but I don't know if he'll get a shot - obviously depends on who's healthy.

Next year the Kostin-Thomas-Kyrou line that we dreamed about since 2017 might be a reality...

I feel like someone on here said that Zach Sanford had massively overperformed his expected goals last season and wasn't that good and was already reaching about his prime on the aging curve and we shouldn't take much into account his totals from last year considering 1/4 of them came in one game that we still lost and we should trade him to whatever team is stupid enough to take that into account while his value was high at the end of last season...now who was that? We may never know

Do we actually know what's going on with Kostin? Last I heard he was supposed to be in camp but then couldn't get his Visa squared away and then played horribly the first little bit in Russia and then JR had a piece where he was like "yeah the Blues just don't know with Kostin anymore". Now he's playing really well but I'm confused as to why he never came back over here. Maybe the AHL situation had something to do with it but we could use him now at the NHL level.

For sure haha. I can probably find some receipts that I was on the trade-high train for Sanford too. All that time with ROR and DP really fluffed his value.

Yeah once he missed camp with the visa issue I think they just decided not to move him around too much and tried to give him some consistency. He'll be back at the end of the KHL season; I don't think the FO is giving up on him, but I do think as fans we shouldn't expect the guy drafted as the no.1 european skater in 2017. I'm hoping for reliable 3rd line production and some toughness.
