    Why would we want Skinner’s horrible deal, sure Price makes more but has less term and Price is more valuable

    from a rangers point of view i dislike the trade as gauthier has a high upside but DQ hates him so i wouldn't be surprised if management accepts it

    The difference in term is 1 year, the difference in age is 5 years. I like Price, but he doesn't seem happy anymore and if he wants out, then it's a return I would be interested in. Skinner's still a good player.

    100% agreed. Gauthier is great, but the way he's used makes me seem that he's not part of the team's long term plans.

    He is seemingly regressing but I feel like Skinner is even more of a question mark then Price

    Price hasn’t been doing great and Skinner on paper has a lot more rebound potential, also less cap hit
