How about Okposo and 2 2nds rather than Mittelstadt?

Okposo has actually been one of buffalo’s better forwards this season. And Mittelstadt is not getting moved unless a high end skater is coming back. He’s the highest valued prospect for Buffalo now that Cozens is in the NHL. On top of all this, Buffalo is not at all crunched for cap space and they’re not going to be handicapped by holding onto Okposo for one more year.

nah i think this is pretty generous with a flat cap if no mittelstadt just give us a first this year or next year instead of 2 seconds

No, he hasn't Okposo has been really bad. He was good the past two years as a defensive forward, but he lost another step. Mittelstadt has looked really good in limited action. 3 points in 5 games.

it really depends where buffalo thinks they are right now. If they are not rebuilding then you make the trade to sign someone of actually value in the off season. If you are rebuilding then you prob dont make the trade

Thats not true. Last year okposo at least had some offensive numbers but his presence in the D zone was atrocious. Now hes not scoring and doesnt have Larsson and Girgensons to cover for him so hes been even worse. Okposo is a mens leaguer which is why I roll my eyes when people complain about Skinner

the analytics support this claim based on this year at least skinner has been good defensively horrible offensively while okposo sucks all around. However last year okposo was good defensively terrible offensivly and skinner was just below average everywhere

im not denying that hes under used all im saying is that the analytics hes putting up are not good. A reason for that can be because he is under used. But its prob that along with regression

After last nights game and the games Mitts has played in i see some upside in him. 3rd line forward seems to be his role and at this point i rather keep him. if this deal was made before this season id be ok with it but now im interested in seeing more of him

Only a few of Buffalo's forwards have been good this year, but Okposo is absolutely not one of them

Just send Okposo to the AHL and keep Mitts, he was amazing this season.
