I am no sharks fan but maybe give Bratt, Butcher and maybe a decent pick. Devils are wasting Butcher for some reason.

fan of neither team here but it seems like It would need to be holtz and a first maby? i think its a bit of an overpay depending on where your pick is

Sucks to see Butcher not in the lineup, but he just doesn't fit in the lineup anymore with the emergence of Smith

2021 1st, Reilly Walsh (Sharks have 1 RD prospect though Merkley we need more), and a center prospect (Thompson?). That would be my ask but I am much more future focused than the Sharks prolly are. Downgrade the pick or take out a prospect and add a middle 6 expiring player is probably what the Sharks would ask

I would probably ask for 2021 1st + 2022 2nd + 2023 2nd (if NJD reaches playoffs). That would be the lowest I could see it going right now.

seems fair, think I'd rather keep Bratt though. don't know that Meier is all that much better than him and I love his skillset

I would do that, Walsh is looking really good in the AHL and I'm pretty high on Thompson myself. would be a solid return, 2021 1st is pretty likely to be in the top 10 too

I would do that, seems like solid value for both sides

Hughes, Hischier, Smith, Blackwood, 2022 1st for Meier take it or leave it.

Ok but honestly some combination of Zacha, Bratt, 2021 1st, 2021 2nd, 2022 2nd, Foote, Walsh or Thompson. Dare I say Holtz would be nice but that's a massive reach lol

Everything above I would personally be interested in.

yeah Holtz would be a no go my man, we haven't had a legit sniper since Kovy left. all of those other pieces I would be willing to negotiate with for sure.

Meir asking starts at a NHL ready prospect and the 2022 1st.
otherwise why are we giving up a 24 years old power forward who has scored and is a 30 + goal potential guy.

I know hah one can dream about Holtz. But yeah glad those other pieces are open to negotiation cause the Sharks could probably use some of them if we trade Meier.

don't think I would give the 2022 1st, Devils could still be terrible and that draft is looking fantastic. thanks for the comment!

I wouldn’t either and I fully agree if I were you I don’t think your team is ready to give up that first for a run now, however you can see my point, we won’t give up our sure fire top 6 guy unless we get min 2 top 6 potential players in his place. The age old a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
