The Kings aren't interested in Jake Gardiner. Bean or Fleury maybe.

Arizona deal is probably close, a little ways off on the Nash deal.

no Nashville deal if Gardiner stays. Canes can give Fleury though but Bean is untouchable

Isn't Bean going to get taken by Seattle in the expansion draft?

I think he will and should be protected and there are 2 possibilities: Canes protecting 4 forwards and 4 d-men or 7/3/1 leaving Dougie unprotected and signing him after draft or in free agency if he is selected

That's not how it works with Hamilton. Seattle is allowed to negotiate with Hamilton (and all pending UFAs) prior to the expansion draft. If he agrees to a contract with them, then he counts as the player taken from Carolina. If he doesn't then Seattle can take someone else.

At last, someone who understands Darcy Kuemper's value.

I want to see him traded just to put the zombie "Gibson Fallacy" ("no goalie has ever been traded for X, therefore Darcy Kuemper isn't worth X") to rest.

If the coyotes are not in the playoff race at the trade deadline that trade would be very enticing. Good work here

I'm so freakin' sick of the Kuemper-for-a-slug-and-a-second posts . . .

Dougie won't sign with Kraken. He may sign somewhere else but I doubt he chooses Seattle so even if they get negotiating rights he will leave

It is an overpayment but Canes can do it. They have one of the deepest prospect pools and 4 goalies under contract are UFAs or RFAs at the end of the season. Also, we all know Arizona needs 1st round pick desperately after what they did and Canes need a legit goalie. Looking forward to seeing what happens at deadline

I don't like the thought of giving just a 1st for Kuemper. Not Bokk on top of that.
