As for Wood and Bennett, it might be fair but I would want to keep Wood. He has more value

The Jets and Devils both decline the trade. Jets struggling on defense and Devils have Walsh who will make the team next year.

But I do agree that the Devils need to spend $ in free agency

have alot of cap next year tho and Demelo is mostly playing in the 3rd line rn, sign or trade for a top 4 defensemen and keep Demelo on the 3rd to stabilize the line and shelter Stanley, Niku, Samberg and Heinola

Miles Wood has 9 points in 15 games, Bennett is a bust and a bottom 6 forward. And thats not enough for Eichel but that may be skewed as Foote is not an interesting piece

that's a nice offer for Eichel, but I'm so down on the Sabres right now. If they can't work it out with Eichel, I don't think they'll work it out with anyone

If you can get Jack Hughes and either Edvinsson or Luke Hughes , and draft one of Wright, Lambert , Savoie next year, this team will be sick

I would do it. Hughes looks like a real stud, he may not be as elite as Eichel, but he will be very good. Get another choice in the top 5 and a good prospect, why not, this offer is solid.

Bennett had 1 good playoff series. You forget if Eichel wants out, hes still under contract, for 5 more years. He can go enjoy Vladivostok for a year, bet he wont complain about the Sabres after that

Bennett's playoff success is MILES better then Wood, and has a bit of a rep for preforming.. so easy choice for me
