Description
I saw an ACGM trading Yamamoto to the Devils but now I can't find it. They didn't want much in that offer.

TDL

I think Larsson and Gusev both won't resign so trading them for each other could make sense. Gusev has more value than Larsson in my opinion so the Devils trade Wood for Yamamoto, Neal and a 2nd. Wood and McDavid Combo would be deadly.

Also could add Butcher to the deal if the value isn't there

Any other bad contracts the Isles need to send to NJ?

They are gonna say Josh Bailey and we're saying no thank you.

The answer should be asking for Beauvillier in Toews like RFA deal.

Devils should be targeting bad contracts to get assets for 2022. Any team would do but I figured the Isles had some bad contracts

Beauvillier is pretty much untouchable. The isles don’t need to add sweeteners to dump contracts next summer. They can trade varlamov/ Leddy for picks

Yeah. I'd say no chance, but there are 2 or 3 ways to get Seattle to take Subban. They are 2 of them. Merkley isn't the 3rd...

Subban isn't that bad lmao. One year left and low-risk high reward for Seattle. No way Devils are giving them Smith or Hughes

We wouldn’t “get Seattle to take Subban”. We want Subban. We have no cap issues to worry about this year or next.

The idea that NJD would move Hughes or Smith to get rid of Subban is like saying it would take Barzal, Dobson to get rid of Leddy.

Who would you prefer? Larsson or Subban? I prefer Larsson since he is better defensively

For 1-year? Tough call. Probably Subban.
Larsson is great at standing in front of pucks, but Subban equal/better most other areas.

For 3-4 years, probably Larsson. Think he sticks around a bit longer.

I was thinking long-term. Subban might regress heavily in the next few years. Larsson would be the safer and younger option

Agree. But if we sign UFA RHD, there are better options.
