Unfortunately I think it will take more than that for a team to take McD

Probably would unless a team is desperate. I wasn't sure what his value would be

He’s still a very solid D man. It’s just team trying to exploit Tampa's cap situation and I see at least a 1st round pick going with him.

Other teams have cap issue and just can't take all of that cap. McDonagh has a NTC, what's his motivation to leave Tampa.? Killorn has a M NTC, he can make his trade list to exclude teams that are poor and have cap space. Seattle still has think Johnson has value at 5m X 3 years to select him

On TJ have you seen his play this year? BTW he sells a lot if 9 Johnson jerseys especially if the Lightning pull the b2b off a b2b hometown kid Stanley Cup Champion comes home to start the Francise. I put a little less emphasis on NTC's than NMC's the team can still use the threat of waiving and letting whatever bottom feeder wants you to a guy with NTC don't have that leverage with an NMC

By the way these lines are bad. I mean Raddysh isn't starting out 2rw that's Stamkos either Volkov or Joseph on the left. Third has Gourde centering Coleman and the other of Volkov or Joseph and 4th Maroon Stephens and either Raddysh or Katchouck

I know Johnson has played well...but Seattle still has to believe he has value.on his contact OK Tampa can use that threat of demotion, but geez you might have to trade them to bottom. feeders anyway if you're not going to get cap back...which is the purposes of the trade.

McDonagh isn't really over paid over termed would be a better description. And he's a heck of a shutdown defenseman. Maybe get 2-3 mil back in cap to say Boston with Moore. Knock 3.5 mil off cap. Use Gonclaves and a 3 to get Seattle to take Johnson

Let's say that McDonagh trade goes through a you prospose and you knock 3.5m off the cap. Then you have to get a replacement ever at 1m.....so to true cap saving is just 2.5m. IMO there aren't going to teams in the Atlantic division or even the Eastern Conference that will be willing to help front running Tampa with their cap dilemma.

I disagree if you're a really close team where Mac might be that piece A la Boston and Tampa Bay get the replacement defenseman in Moore Boston also gets like 2-3's or a 2&5 so you actually save 3.5 mil
