Sam Bennett is a younger Cody Eakin. While Tage isn’t good at all, I don’t want Eakin 2.0 in the lineup.

Bennett isn’t living up to his draft spot by any means,
but at least he’s a USEFUL 3rd line player
And we could use his toughness as well

The whole point of that though is STAAL and Montour, not a third. The Avs greatest need is a 3C. Montour is effectively a bit part in that trade to cover the loss of Graves for depth on D. Without Staal the trade is pointless for the Avs so they'd pass. In addition Compher removes more cap for the Avs, again making it another reason to pass.

U can find games of him from the playoffs last year online
Don’t be a number nerd- WATCH THE GAMES

Again, he’s not “great”
But he’s an effective 3rd liner
Plays tough which we NEED BADLY- especially along the walls & in the corners- and can actually forecheck a bit as well

He’s Gaustad-ish, but with a bit more offensive talent
Giving up Tage & a 4th for him is a win,
Bc Tage shouldn’t even play NHL games he’s so bad
