I think the Muzzin injury really shows how much we need Dermott. We have enough depth forwards, so Mittelstadt might even find it hard to crack the roster

Are you high? Obviously LA declines. Orlov is not worth a first and Turcotte. LA immediately hangs up and blocks your number. Turcotte is a top tier prospect, they wouldn’t trade for Orlov while still rebuilding and no way would it cost that much.

Leafs don't need a bust, especially for a potential top 4 defensemen

I generally might agree with you, except that LA fans are offering more than that for Ekholm, and Orlov is slightly better than Ekholm. Because facts.

Thanks. What would Eichel to WSH cost, in your opinion? And if LA accepts the above, what would WSH add to that?

Picks mean nothing especially because the first would be 25-32. Johansen isnt worth anything. Orlov wouldnt waive for Buffalo and doesnt have much value to them and is not having a good year. Copley, while i like him, is not going to be much value, so its Kuzy and Lapierre. Kuzy is not Eichel and has depreciating numbers, also wouldnt waive for Buffalo and the Sabres also dont need a disappointed Russian in their locker room. Probably Wilson Oshie McMicheal and a first, but too many ntc's

As I said above, other LA fans are trading that for Ekholm, who is not as good as Orlov, so, you know, sure, LA could add a bunch and go after Eichel, but why do they need him, when they've got Vilardi at 2C scoring almost as much as Eichel, and Kopitar still playing a solid 2-way game at 1C? Seems like an unnecessary salary cap headache, when all the Kings really need to get back in contention is a 1LD. Orlov played 1LD on the 2018 champs, and led all LHD in the playoffs in minutes, even strength points, and defensive zone starts.

Trading that for ekholm is stupid. He’s 30 years old.

Kings aren’t Stanley cup contenders yet. Rather the kings target Dunn or Graves

Correction: I offered more than that for Ekholm AND Fabbro while also being told I was overpaying for them.

Again, I traded for Ekholm AND Fabbro which actually makes a lot of sense long term.

Didn't see your post. Which is also offering more. And I'm not criticizing. Top pair D are worth a lot. I'm just pointing out that this would be another way LA could fill its main identified need.

How far away is the window, and what do you think of the development of some of the Caps' LHD prospects (Nardella's tearing it up in Sweden, Alexeyev is rookie of the month in the KHL, Siegenthaler looked ready for top pair at times last year. I can't get a read on Fehervary because he's on the dumb Taxi squad).

I honestly think kings will be contenders for cup in 3 years. Get the prospects in games next year if not this year and add LW1 via trade move down iafallo and Kempe and get a young proven LHD eventually

Agreed. Orlov would waive to LA while they're in playoff position and shopping all over the board for a dynamic partner for Doughty. That's why it's a three way trade.

If I built it from the WSH side, then Buffalo gets two good C prospects, a weak D prospect, an upgrade at backup goalie with a much better contract, two firsts, a second, and a third. Eichel is as valuable as anybody that could be be traded this year, but that's a pretty decent package.

I think if Buffalo takes that today, trades Hall for a 1st today, and moves Skinner to 1LW with Kuznetsov, they are as good this year as they have been, so far, and they could add four decent prospects. They also rescue Skinner's confidence and trade value so maybe they can move him in the future, or they can at least keep him around as a mentor. If the goal is to go all-futures, Buffalo could flip Kuznetsov for Chytil or something.

Okay. That makes sense in terms of not rushing the young guys. How old are the guys who won it last time, in three years, though? I like what some other LA fans are suggesting in terms of how a similar reload worked for Chicago a while back.

Unpopular opinion here, but are you suggesting that a 24 year old center with an 82 point season is not worth four first picks more than a 28 year old center with an 83 point season, a Cup ring, and a lower cap hit? Shocking, if true. smile
