If it's a 1-for-1 trade without a sweetener on Calgary's side, Montreal likely wouldn't do this. Armia already fits in here, Bennett remains a question mark.

I like this trade with Ylonen, Caufield already playing great this year the future looks bright for the right side the left side needs help or insurance in in the middle. I'd do this trade right now.

I think this would be based on whether Bergevin thinks he's going to be re signing Armia or not.

I could see Armia testing the market in the off season, I'm sure lots of teams will be interested in him, whereas Bennett is still under team control.

Armia is making what? 2.6M now. There is no way he is worth more than that and I don't think he will get a better offer in free agency with the frozen cap. He will take a little pay cut probably around 2.5M for 2-3 years and take the job security from Montreal.

He's 27, and has proven he can score in a lesser role. Someone will offer him at least 3m for 3 years, especially if Montreal can't afford to offer anymore, or has to tell him to take a pay cut after forking out all those big contracts last off season.

It's exactly why Armia will test the free market, which could be a factor into Bergevin trading him before the deadline.
