Buffalo can not afford anther rebuild. This will be year 10 with no playoffs. Personally I think you keep Eichel and get at least one young decent nhl player in a package for Hall.

If you do move Eichel you need nhl assets back. Not just picks and prospects.

If I were the sabres I would be all for an Eichel for Monahan hannafin and Zary based deal.

Not because they win the trade but because trading Eichel for futures could set off another 10 year rebuild.

Hanifin is a 2nd pair guy
And Monahan isn’t much of a 1C imo, better suited for 2C

If the Sabres are shopping Jack, this is a good offer and one I really do not think another team would be able to top.

Hanifin and Välimäki fill the huge hole at LHD
Monahan will NEVER fit into Jacks skates, but would be the Sabres top center.
Zary, and Pelletier would be the Sabres best prospects after Quinn.
Final comment, Jack has played hurt and is currently out.
Replacing an ailing Eichel with healthy Hanifin, Monahan and Välimäki may lead to a better over all team with picks and prospects coming down the pipeline.
