Chicago Rejects, We want more for Murphy, When he was injured for a few games, Chicago's d was awful and now he's an assistant captain, Either Chicago wants an overpay or Chicago won't move him and sign him for a long term deal.

Can I interest you in one Matt Dumba? He has actually been solid in his own zone this year even though nationally he has a reputation of being awful defensively. We need to clear cap and it would also be nice to not have to protect 8 skaters in the expansion draft.

I really like the savard and severson ideas. Though I doubt severson is available

Everyone else will probably not be worth the cost for the jets

Far too much for Severson and the Devils probably don't want to trade him anyways. Savard might be a good target though.

This was the one player I wanted to see on here. I’d really like to add dumba, I’m not sure what min would be looking for, but he’s a great option. He doesn’t need to be overly defensive since he’d play with Morrissey who is good defensively. We need him to be a big shot on PP1 and then provide some solid offence at 5v5.

I'm not even sure what we'd be looking for anymore. We need a top 6 center (and reportedly that was the ask for Dumba in the offseason), but we also need cap space next year and could use picks/prospects although I'm not sure if Guerin is comfortable going that route. Winnipeg doesn't have a center that is in the same ballpark as Dumba in terms of value (Scheifele and Dubois are both much more valuable while Lowry wouldn't be enough), so they'd likely have to go the picks/prospects route; but again, I'm not sure if Guerin is willing to accept picks/prospects.

Hawks easily decline. It would be your 1st+ for him, but it doesn’t really matter because we aernt trading him anyways

Jets should be pushing for Ekholm hard if the Preds are serious about trading him. That guy is really good

Yeah that’s what I was thinking about, they are looking for a top 6 C and we don’t have one to spare. Honestly doubt you’re getting a top 6 C from any team for dumba. I think the best offer Winnipeg could put together would be Gustafsson + Vesalainen + Chisholm + 2021 1st. Maybe some cap going back to min but that’s about it. Jets need to manage their assets well if they want to succeed. I think Jets are better off going for a guy like Savard.

Yeah I don't see the Wild getting a top 6 center for Dumba, not one with term anyway.

Savard would be an alright acquisition, wouldn't give a ton for him though.

Neither would I, I’d give a 3rd and Niku for Savard, maybe swap Niku for Chisholm if that’s what it took.

Dumba has been really good this year, so if we aren't able to get a top 6 C I imagine we just hang onto him like we have, protect 8 skaters in expansion, and keep our stellar top 4 D in tact.

Savard seems like a good fit for Winnipeg, but he's also a rental and I think the Jets need a longer-term solution on the blue line.
