It will take more than that considering Klingberg has been really good this season

Counter offer: Provorov half retained and Myers for Oleksiak, Dellandrea, Damiani, a 1st and a 2nd

But seriously, that offer is a joke Dallas says hell no and blocks Fletcher's number, it's that bad.

Imo it ain't that bad. There's huge amount of quality coming to Dallas as well, not to mention the 2nd overall pick from a few of years ago.

Should he hit his potential, DAL could turn out winners here, long-term. But I think yes PHI could add here. Just don't know what it is.

Also that counteroffer of yours is far from what I offered here. Sanheim >> Oleksiak, Patrick >> Dellandrea, Wylie >> Damiani.

Klingberg is playing Norris level this year, I beleive it starts with Sanheim, Patrick, Frost and a 1st

Doubt PHI would be interested, given he has only 1,5 years left.

Klingberg has offensively been top notch, but I defensively don't see him as Norris caliber. He's too fickle. He's like a right shot Morgan Rielly in a sense.

If you have been a fan of the Stars for long time (which you probably have been), you should know our developing SUCKS ass and Patrick will not fully develop. The 1st and 2nd will basically be a 2nd and a 3rd considering the Flyers will win the cup (with this roster, not the current one) so I don't see any winning here. I didn't watch the game tonight because here in Canada it's Maple Leafs central, but even if we lost 5-0 I wouldn't lose hope yet, things will get better hopefully.

Developing sucks ass? I don't necessarily agree. Think we're probably around average in terms of how many NHL players turn out from our draft picks.

Stars prospect development is just slow, since the GM is too conservative and digs to use the veterans more. And since it's fairly commonplace that in our roster they truly use that 3-4 years of players ELC on juniors, the prospect pool looks worse than it is, and in terms of trade value it's not that competitive.

Patrick will be developing just fine with playing in the NHL from the get-go. I potentially see a new Jamie Benn in the guy. Sanheim's still relatively young at 25 and already a better puck-moving D than Lindell is. Defensively Lindell's better, but he's no good at driving play.

The picks are always a mystery case, and knowing DAL system, that 2022 1st can be truly evaluated at 2025 whether it was a successful one or not.

But as previously stated, Nill is notoriously conservative GM, and will not be splashing. And I do think it'll eventually be our doom, in a sense. I've watched long enough to see a pattern there.

Look at all the 1st round picks from 2009 to now, most of them are not as impressive as the ones picked after. After Rads and Segs come back I have a felling things are coming back together, as long that we can sneak in to the playoffs we're fine, Dallas is a playoff team not a regular season one.

I don't see a reason why to trade Klingberg, yes the assets are nice but it leaves a huge hole to fill at RD and more specifically RHD.

I agree that aside of Miro our first round picks have been meh, but that's more on DAL scouts and the GM's decision, not necessarily the fault of our development system.

Also from what I understand, the Stars owner bring also a bit of a problem. It's not uncalled for from him to moan about the team and its players in public. I wouldn't be too surprised if he had a word or two on which players the Stars can bring in the roster.

I myself would also like to keep Klingberg, but if Dallas, and it's only an if, consider a retool, Klingberg could be a fantastic asset for us in that regard with only two years left on a mega deal.

If the Stars are losing Klingberg I want Farabee+ in return.
