I think Buffalo will accept that deal. Provided Danault signs an extension.

You do not move a potential problem for another potential problem. Not implying either players are problems, they are not, but their contracts are. Should Danault, sign an extension, MTL is the clear loser in this trade. So, I would not trade to a team in my division not for such a low return. (yes I know Buffalo is not in division this year but they will be).

I didn’t propose the trade, but if I’m Kevyn Adams and this trade is on the table I’d take it and sign him to an extension for three years $4.5 million seems about right. Do I think Montreal would make this deal? No, but if it’s offered I’m jumping at it.

I'd still do it without an extension bc one way or another Staal is gone, gives you the remainder of the season to see Danault and how he fits in. I think both players have to sit out to quarantine 2 weeks, right?

If the players get vaccinated by the trade deadline I believe they can skip quarantine. I am surprised the NHL isn’t pushing to get that done yet.

I knew you did not propose the trade and I should have addressed it to the person that made the post. I will do that in the future.

That's a great trade for Nashville. They can also easily swip Tatar to an other team to get other stuff.

It’s not enough of a return for 2 players with a year each left on their deal. Forsberg has a lot more value than Tatar
