I'd prefer a better rounded dman tbh. The only reason I have Bean on here is because Carolina has a log gam of good LD.

I don't really want Dunn either but he's one of the more likely ones since he's been on the block.

Bean and Dunn seem like realistic targets to me.

I'd prefer Sergachev but as you and I found out, some Tampa guys insist that he's better than Hedman and the Lightning won't be trading him.

Rielly as a rental is interesting, but I don't think that Toronto will trade Liljegren at the same time. But if you mean EITHER Rielly or Liljegren, I'd prefer the latter.

I had one Ottawa idiot insist Brannstrom = Turcotte or (this'll make you laugh) Vilardi plus.

So "untouchable" that if Ken Holland offered you Leon Draisaitl for him, your front office would lay on extra hands to get Sergachev out the door.

Just jabbin' ya, out of sheer envy.

I'd definitely like to get both, but that's probably not possible.

I love the idea of trading for Ekholm and Fabbro though.

It would have to be ken Holland diing something like that. Fair doesn't come close. Grotesque overpay it would take

You know MTL ‘’can’t’’ trade Romanov
We don’t have a hole in our roster, we just need Carey and Shea to play better

Better than Hedman? Who? Hedman 3 years retired is still going to be a better defenseman than Sergachev.

But hypothetically if you're trading for someone right now I'd target Reilly. Assuming the Leafs are selling low, the guy is actually quite good. I also really like Jake Bean he's looked really good this season and Carolina might have issues keeping him with their Blueline depth.

Then take Haydn Fleury. Cheaper, better-rounded, and it allows Carolina to make Bean a full-timer.

I'm not interested in Fleury. We'll just go somewhere else most likely

He fits your needs to a T. Good two-way player, young enough to still be team controlled, old enough to know what he needs to do on the ice. Good playoff experience, and can play top 4 minutes on a contender.

He has 0 points in 16 games and a -3 on one of the most offensive teams in the league also about 14 mins a game. He's not proven enough for us to pay what it would cost to get him. Not worth it IMO
