boutta catch some HEAT for this

Created by: Shane_Kelly
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 28, 2021
Published: Feb. 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The comment section gonna be Sabres fans saying "it won't happen"

Other teams fans saying "not even close to enough"

and Bruins fans saying "don't ruin the future like this by moving all these pieces"

I will accept the hate in the comment section, but I truly believe there is a chance, (a 2% chance) that he comes to the Bruins. So, I made this. Bruins would still need a top 6 forward (whats new!) but that can happen at a different time.

From an outsider standpoint this looks like a great trade assuming Eichel requests out of Buffalo. But I can’t see the Sabres trading him within the Atlantic Division.

The idea behind it is, once his NMC kicks in, Eichel requests the trade and SOMEHOW the Bruins beat out a team like the Rangers

That’s two seasons away.

Anyway, i don’t think eichel is a good fit for the bruins.

I don’t think there’s at least one piece you could say has “elite potential” for the Sabres to accept

Why? So i can stop seeing people pretend the Sabres should be honored to accept a teams #1 D prospect and bunch of stuff for a franchise center

Sabres need a elite prospect in return. Their getting decent pieces back, but there isn't anything that jumps out

I agree... its a tough trade for the B's to pull off without that top tier prospect. I know Eichel has the BOS connection, but i cant see the B's moving one of their elite roster players for him... its counter-productive.

No, because the only thing the Sabres can do is make a trade with the highest bidder, regardless of what the return is. Nobody has leverage in a trade involving a player on their team who is begging to go somewhere else. You know that, as should everyone else.

So you better keep Eichel happy in your city if you don’t want to see a trade you’re bound to hate.

And? That’s a 5 year window to demand a trade if he hypothetically wanted to do so. Plus it’s not like his contract is a brand new deal either

What? That means they have 4.5 years minimum with him, even if he demands a trade, they dont have to move him

Riiiiiight. Because holding Eichel against his will solves that problem.
