TOR
  1. Marleau, Patrick
Additional Details:
Cliche but Marleau and Jumbo going for a run together would warm my heart.

COL
  1. Nieto, Matt
Additional Details:
Familiar guy comes back to help PK.
4.
SJS
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (WSH)

3rd is a massive over pay, youre looking at a 5th round pick type return for a 4th line player, that’s what guys like nieto have been getting the last few deadlines

not much of a fire sale if only one notable piece is moving.

I think most Leaf fans wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Marleau. But I'm not sure he would play enough to qualify for his name on the Cup. If they did make the finals you have to ice the best lineup you possibly can, sentiment aside. But even then there would need to be conditions. First, you'd need to take Vessey, not a pick. The cap space is too important. Second, Marleau has to understand he would be sitting more than playing. He might not feel he played enough of a role in a potential run.

It's nice to see Shark fans wanting those two to get a Cup though.

Avs have the top pk in the league at the moment, so I highly doubt they'll be after a guy like Nieto. Maybe they'll take him for additional depth but probably not at that price.

I don't want Marleau, cause I don't know what he could add to the Leafs. Marleau/Thornton...couldn't bring a Cup to the Sharks no reason to think they together could do in Toronto.

Winnipeg already has the best top 6 in the league and they haven’t missed a beat without Laine. So I don’t know what hole you’d be trying to fill. They need better defence and claesson doesn’t move the needle

Perrault has actually been playing really good this year, so Jets say no thanks

I mean, another top 6 rw would be nice, I just don’t think labanc is a good fit. We definitely aren’t paying that much for him though. Maybe for a 2nd and a bit.

That said, I’m not worried about the top 6 cause so far, it can seemingly score at will.

COL doesn’t need help on the PK they have the #1 PK unit in the NHL right now.

Yeah that price wouldnt do it. A first + would be the deal but I understand some think Copp is good enough and would rather not trade for a top 6 winger. I was just looking for a team with a notable hole for Labanc that made sense.

Fair enough lol, I had seen some trades for him by Colorado fans in the past so I thought there might be interest and that is his skill.

I mean, stastny could just shift to the wing and we are good. I might be interested in nieto though, but not for a 3rd.

Love Nieto but the real thing they need right now besides health (no Makar in the next 2 grrr) is a a 3C that can add some offense because Compher has not been good this year.

Sharks dont have that really. Depth wingers we have tons but lack a real 3C
