Zibanejad is not having a dream season, but that offer is laughable, my bad. A rental Montour doesn't do anything for NY, Thompson and Eakin are 4th liners.

Zibanejad was an awesome goal scorer last year. This year he has three even strength points. So does Montour. Eakin and Thompson total three more. Add a 2nd round pick?

Yeah. But which team bets higher than this on him bouncing back, right now? If we're imagining he bounces back soon and the Rangers deal him at the trade deadline, sure, a late 1st is in there. But if we're talking Buffalo's picks, this week?

I mean, if we're going by past values, and not this year, Montour and Eakin played pretty well out West.
