Inb4 wild fans say that they want a top 6 C in return. Which won’t happen as teams aren’t moving their top 6 C. I think we’d have to make it like samberg, Gus and a 1st to get it to work for MIN.

I really like the idea of adding dumba.

I like the Roster. Minny looks like a playoff team and might not be willing to make a move like this until the offseason. I would hope that Poolman, Gus and a first would do it. Adding Samberg, Vesalainen or Stanley would hurt the Jets' future more.

Not really as JMo and Heinola as your top 2 LD and Dumba and Pionk as the top 2 RD is fine...Samberg would be stopped at the 3rd paring...no worries there

MN doesn't need another LD to play behind Suter/Brodin. I personally don't see a MN/Peg deal for Dumba. Wild fans will want Perfetti, which wont happen, the next best prospect centre for Peg is Gus?

The ask from wild GM Bill Guerin is a top 6c, or high 1st with top 6c prospect. With jets being wild rivalry, Ask will be more probably.

As long wild are in 1st, &; or playoff position, don't see Dumba going anywhere

I know, I understand the justification for the ask. But I also understand that there aren’t likely any teams that will move a top 6 C right now for dumba. Minnesota likely just keeps him. They’re going to take a hit at the ED though.

There is one thing that im curious about....Dumba is smallish at 6 feet and 180 lbs....does he play big? I have seen some of his hits and fights which look like he should be bigger but...

how does he play in a playoff series with physical play? does he hold his own or do players just not take runs at him cuz he is strong enough?

He usually holds his own. Players tend to want to jump other wild players, & either he or foligno jump in

The problem with the Jets is you don't even have any worthwhile forward prospects outside of Perfetti. The other forward prospects you do have are all very underwhelming, and I'm not sure I'm interested in either of them.

1st+Vesalainen/Torgersson/Gustafsson+NHL contract to help with cap would be something I'd accept as a last resort if we had to trade Dumba before the expansion draft, but frankly if that's the best offer we receive for him, I'd rather protect him, lose Greenway, and then move him after the expansion draft when his price will go up.

It’s amazing how many people hadn’t taken this into account. I’d even add ARI to this list. We’ve had by far the easiest schedule in the West this far. But like you said, it doesn’t mean much until you’ve matched up with everybody.

I don’t think this is entirely true. While Samberg or Stanley don’t do much for them, they need to get a blue chip in the system for when Suter starts to decline. I’d bet they are looking at Kiersted from NoDak as an FA this year and/or looking defense early in the draft. It’s not an immediate need, but it’s a need since there is nobody after Addison in the system.
