Yeah Bean has got a on a tear this season. Besides, bernier isn't that good.

It isn't worth Bean to upgrade from Bernier to Reimer, since the upgrade hardly exists

That is one weak ass Dunn offer. Besides, he's not available, despite what any fake reports may tell you. And certainly not during this season.

Edmonton might be the only one approved by the other team. Detroit is worse after the Eichel trade but there is still no way Buffalo agrees to it.

I'd mostly agree. Staal has played well for the Wings and NBC Sports Network and the Bruins broadcast seems to value him pretty high. Bruins could use some depth at D but I'm not sure they would be willing to "Spare" a third-round pick. But if they are going for it then they might make that dumb of a decision.

Yeah, it makes way more sense for the Blues to move him during the offseason. Blues could use an upgrade on the 4th line center. But it's pure dreaming that Glenny could get a return of Dunn.

I mean i think the thing about it is that its not really gonna be a bidding war or anything. So they will probably offer a 4th TOPS and see what happens

Much like the Dunn trade, it makes a lot more sense for Carolina to move Bean in the offseason with more value. I do disagree that Bernier wouldn't be a significant upgrade, Canes need better goaltending and you have to remember that Bernier has been exceptional for the past two years with a terrible to subpar defense in front of him. But, the Canes could get a different goalie who has a greater value in the offseason. I'm just not sure they are going to find too many goalies during the season, it's just likely they can find similar value at a much less cost. I'm just dreaming they value Bernier that high and want that value with Bean currently being on a tear.

I think Vegas would do that if Det also took Nosek or Carrier back in the deal too.

Nosek is a pending UFA, so it would probably be him.

I had considered this but I didn't think Vegas would want to lose him, I figure they want the depth for the playoffs.

In a perfect world they probably would.

But they need to someone when McNabb is healthy. They are 600k over the cap then. Moving him and taking Ryan at 500k puts them just under.

Or like I mentioned maybe someone like Carrier. 1.4 for 3 more years after this one.

Yea, I questioned whether it should be a fourth or fifth. The one thing that makes me think he might be more attractive is the Wings can take on more of the cap hit, he has a $1,000,000 signing bonus that was already paid and a base salary of $3,200,000 that the Wings will have paid a lot of and can eat part of with the salary retention. So he would end up being pretty cheap for a new team. Might make his value go up slightly. But I think you are right, a fourth seems like a lot even with that.

I mean thats all fair too. I guess its worth it to do a 4th.
I also wanna apologize if my first comment was at all sarcastic, dealing with a lot of uneducated fans today lol

I do love the Edmonton trade. Neal could potentially add some more scoring on the 3rd or 4th line. Unlikely, but has more potential than Neilsen. Costs a little more next year for the Wings, which they can afford. Saves Edmonton some money next year then free's up money when they need to sign RNH. Then it would cost less for the wings in 2022-23 if Neal retires or gets sent down.

Franchise centers are hard to come by so I think Eichel would be worth the amount the Wings send, which I agree probably still isn't enough. Just kind of love the idea of Americans Eichel and Larkin leading the way for the Wings.

When the TITLE says Playing Around it typically means it's unlikely anyone is going to agree with the trade values.

But Neal is producing any more than Neilson at this point so why add another year of $5M+ they can keep Neal because he isn't bringing any thing to Wing's worth his cap hit. This is the trade that makes the least sense for Detroit. Not sure why'd you like it unless your an Edmonton fan. Which makes sense because no true Wing's or true Blackhawk's fan is going to choose the other as their second favorite team.
